Welcome to our website. Here you will find information to help you decide what type of silk screen machine will best suit your needs. There are a wide variety of choices when deciding what type of silk screen machine you're going to purchase.
There are several things that you need to consider before purchasing a silk screen machine. Some questions to ask yourself include:
How much space you have to operate it? Do you have a limited amount of space? Some examples would be if you only have a shed or garage to operate your press in. This limited space will make it necessary to purchase a smaller silk screen machine.
What are you going to use it for? Are you just using it for personal use, like printing shirts or artwork for family and friends? Or are you going into business for yourself, where you'll be printing large numbers of articles?
How often will you be using it? If you only intend on printing occasionally as necessary, then you'll want a silk screen machine that can easily be set up and taken down. If you plan on printing every day, then you may want something larger.
Table Top Presses: These are smaller presses meant to be operated by one or two people. They're dimensions are usually around 24 inches by 48 inches. There are several different options in this size press, including everything from a 1 station one color press up to 1 station 4 color presses. These are great if you have limited space and are generally very affordable.
Manual Pro Shop Presses: These are heavy duty presses aimed at larger output needs. They can be operated by 1 or 2 people and will generally have anywhere from 4-8 color options available (meaning that they'll have 4-8 different screens attached to the arms of the press). Ideal if you have a bit of work space and plan on printing large quantities on a daily basis.
Lowrider Presses: A space saving printer/dryer setup (although you can find these as just a press or just a dryer). With a lowrider press, you can save a lot of space... which will basically allow you to have all of the ability of a manual pro shop press that only takes up as much space as one car in your garage. This is perfect if you want to do high volume printing, but are limited on space. It also has the added bonus of a dryer to further automate your process.
Automatic Presses: Automatic presses are a bit on the expensive side. If you are operating your own business and have several large projects or the need to do large numbers of jobs on a regular basis, these can increase your production levels by a significant margin. This type of silk screen machine is rather large, so it isn't for you if you are tight on space or don't have a need to press several thousand pieces a day.
