PINE WOOD CABLE DRUM FOR WINDING CABLE

Cable drum shall be heat treated, well-seasoned wood. Wood must be free from defects that materially weaken the compounds, expose the cable to damage or interface with nailing. The wood shall be free from knots exceeds one third of the width of piece.

The wood should not get crack during nailing The tolerance of the thickness of any wood plank shall be less than +/-2 mm. Thickness of each ply of flange or of other component parts shall be uniform through out and no joints are allowed. Wood used in drums shall be well prepared & treated with good preservatives. Wood affected by insects or termites should not be used for any components.
