Product Details: The disc thickener is used for washing and thickening the low consistency pulp.
The disc thickener is mainly used to wash and thicken stock in pulping and papermaking process. Its working principle is to dewater by gravity through the level difference between stock out of disc wire and white water in the disc. The pulp at the consistency of 0.8~1.2% enters the vat and then is attached to disc sector. The white water in the disc flows to the ends of hollow shaft through guide slot and then discharges out. Stock attached on disc sector is knocked off by high pressure shower. The thickened stock at the consistency 3~4% flows over the plate of adjusting valve into outlet vat where it is discharged out. The rotating speed of main shaft can be adjusted according to the required outlet consistency and capacity.
